2017 Northeast Fuel Cell Vehicle Tour

Justin Lewis

From June 12 to June 16, FCHEA joined industry representatives and California state officials for a tour of Northeast state capitals and major cities. The tour, organized by the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), brought together industry representatives and local and state government officials to educate policymakers on FCVs and discuss local policy objectives in helping to promote their introduction to the region.

In a series of meetings in Trenton, New York City, Hartford, Albany, Providence, and Boston, the tour participants met with legislators, environmental and transportation policy officials, and representatives from several governors' offices. The tour also brought along the Toyota Mirai and the Honda Clarity so policymakers could see and experience FCVs first-hand.
