Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager

Topsoe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regulatory Advisor to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will involve navigating the complex regulatory landscape associated with technologies for the production of hydrogen (blue and green hydrogen technologies), its derivatives and other related technologies (“hydrogen technologies”). This critical role will also involve ensuring compliance and strategically influencing regulatory development to support our mission. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy regulations, a passion for sustainability, and the expertise to guide our company through the evolving regulatory environment.

This new role will work closely with Topsoe’s Power-to-X and Global Commercial businesses, Public Affairs (PA), Sustainability, and Communications groups to:

  • Monitor, map, evaluate and translate relevant hydrogen related policy developments as well as regulatory frameworks and their impact on key objectives to inform commercial opportunities and product development on local, national, and international levels.

  • Advise stakeholders within the businesses, PA and Communications on regulatory opportunities and risks for project deployment in key strategic markets.

  • Provide input and support to help shape hydrogen related policy efforts including:

  • Advising Public Affairs on regulatory opportunities and risks.

  • Supporting the Public Affairs team in policy prioritization.

  • Translating technical and business priorities into policy priorities.

  • Providing technical input to Public Affairs on existing policy proposals to maximize opportunities, including setting up and leading internal projects to provide technical feedback from across the organization.

  • Supporting Public Affairs in preparation for meetings with key government representatives and other stakeholders and providing technical expertise and help build a reputation as a thought leader.

  • Engage with non-governmental stakeholders, such as business associations, NGOs, academia and think tanks to shape views on policy proposals, and actively engage in relevant working groups of such groups.

  • Create thought leadership in the hydrogen space e.g., speak at key events, engage in relevant working groups (e.g. Hydrogen TCP at the IEA).

  • Support sustainability certification and standards efforts with technical review and input.

  • Other day-to-day duties as required.

Renewable Project Developer

PEAKS Renewables is focused on business opportunities at the intersection of decarbonization and natural gas, including Renewable Natural Gas, Biogas, Renewable Hydrogen, and Power-to-Gas Opportunities. Peaks is a subsidiary of Summit Utilities, a privately owned utility holding platform that currently operates gas distribution companies in five states. PEAKS is actively developing several Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Hydrogen projects both within Summit’s utility territories and beyond. Peaks is seeking two renewable project developers to help lead these opportunities from conception to reality.

This position will report to the Manager, RNG Business Development or the Senior Manager, H2 Business Development, and work alongside a small team of developers to build and execute on a pipeline of new investments in RNG and Hydrogen.
