In celebration of the Department of Energy’s National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, American Councils for International Education is pleased to present Mr. Zachary Batts, the inaugural recipient of the Robert Rose Education Award in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology. Mr. Batts will present developments in hydrogen and fuel cell technology and hydrogen safety initiatives at the U.S. Department of Energy and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he completed a 9-month fellowship administered by American Councils for International Education. Join to celebrate Robert Rose’s legacy on the alternative energy industry. The event takes place as scientists and engineers celebrate National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day with activities and announcements across the country.

Robert Rose Education Award in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology
The Robert Rose Education Award in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology is a tribute to the late Robert Rose, a longstanding member of American Councils’ board of trustees and founder of the US Fuel Cell Council, the national trade association for fuel cell technologies (now known as the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association). The Robert Rose Education Award is open to doctoral and master’s students or recent graduates from across the globe seeking to gain leadership skills to improve global collaboration and community-building in the emerging field of fuel cell technologies.
