The last few months of 2022 were a real whirlwind here at the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) and not just because of the frenzy of policies, funding, and excitement surrounding hydrogen production, distribution, and utilization in the U.S. Since our last “Member Update” post in May 2022, we have welcomed more than a dozen new companies to FCHEA, growing our association to more than 90 members.
Airbus is the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and has roughly 180 locations and 12,000 direct suppliers globally, as well as aircraft and helicopter final assembly lines across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Airbus is developing the world’s first zero-emission commercial aircraft and is looking at hydrogen propulsion to achieve that goal by 2035.
CF Industries’ mission is to provide clean energy to feed and fuel the world sustainably. The company is on a path to decarbonize its ammonia production network – the world’s largest – to enable green and blue hydrogen and nitrogen products for energy, fertilizer, emissions abatement and other industrial activities.
Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), a global green energy company, is developing technology solutions for hard-to-decarbonize industries, while building a global portfolio of renewable energy, green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. FFI’s goal is to produce 15 million metric tons of green hydrogen per year by 2030.
Family-owned BOSAL, with 2,500 employees worldwide, contributes to a cleaner world by consistently innovating in mobility and energy. BOSAL proudly offers tailored solutions to meet the challenges of the hydrogen economy with 20 years of experience in the development, testing, and production of highly effective heat exchangers. Their unique fully welded ultra-thin foil heat exchangers combine high effectiveness with low back pressure in a compact, modular architecture which are well suited for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzers (SOEC) applications.
Hinicio is a strategy consulting firm with more than fifteen years of experience in hydrogen, providing support to clients in Europe, the Americas, and Canada for market development, hydrogen investment strategies, implementing optimal policies and certification schemes, and assisting corporate investors in leveraging investments for hydrogen project development. Hinicio opened its first U.S. office in Washington D.C. earlier this year.
ImaGEN™ is focused on innovative hydrogen and fuel cell technologies utilizing its new Tru-H2™ on-site and on-demand hydrogen generation and H2-Genie ™ operating systems.
Infinity Fuel Cell and Hydrogen, Inc., designs, develops, and manufactures patented zero-gravity capable, fuel cell and electrolyzer systems that are designed to meet the increasing demand for air-independent, spaceflight and underwater power supply and oxygen generation for aerospace and defense markets. Infinity supplies complete fuel cell and electrolyzer stacks and systems to NASA, the U.S. Navy, and other DoD and commercial space and aerospace customers.
John Cockerill, headquartered in Belgium, produces electrolyzers and hydrogen refueling stations, offering systems that can produce up to 1000Nm3 per hour (~5 MW) within a single stack. The company reported a 33% market share of global electrolyzer deliveries in 2021, totaling close to 200 MW.
NeuPorter is a developer of large-scale clean hydrogen pipeline and salt cavern storage projects in Texas.
Pillsbury is an international law firm with a particular focus on the energy, technology, real estate & construction, and financial sectors.
